PDG came about due to the association of two commercial real estate brokers and a commercial contractor, both based in south metro Atlanta, Georgia. During the depths of the recession, Quantum Commercial Real Estate sought to right-size and reduce expenses by sharing office space with South-Tree Enterprises, LLC, a commercial general contracting firm. The close proximity of the team members provided ample opportunity for deeper discussion of potential projects being sought by both the brokers and the contractor. All parties became more comfortable with each other and agreed to form an alliance. As a result, Parkside Management Group, LLC was formed in March of 2010 and then Parkside Development Group, LLC in January of 2011.
PDGs Organizational Structure. PDG is part of a group of companies focused on real estate (Quantum Commercial Real Estate), construction (South-Tree Enterprises, LLC) and property management (Parkside Management Group, LLC). Together, we bring a formidable team member to the process of commercial real estate development.
The group consists of three individuals, Chuck Ogletree (President of South-Tree Enterprises, LLC), Paul Schwinne and David A. Strickland (Partners in Quantum Commercial Real Estate). While each individual brings certain skill sets and experience, we have found that the overall synergy within the group allows for a range of ideas, unique solutions and more thorough analysis. PDG seeks to create opportunities to add value for its partners, investors and individual entities through the development, construction, leasing and management of successful commercial real estate projects.
While Parkside Development Group, LLC works on a range of project types (Office, Retail, Industrial) our main focus is on Medical Office Buildings (MOB's). We, along with our equity investment partners, feel that the healthcare sector in particular offers stability and sustainability for the foreseeable future.
Chuck Ogletree, Partner
Chuck is a generational builder who grew up working with different subcontractors and his dad, Joel, to learn the construction industry. In 1989, he opened South-Tree Enterprises; a full service general contracting firm with the commitment to partner with his clients to make their visions a reality.
A master relationship manager, Chuck has an innate ability to keep a project team focused on the big picture as well as the bottom line. Clients know that with him they have a project leader who will navigate, direct, or steer them in the right direction, to achieve measurable outcomes.
Chuck oversees all day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include producing estimates and budgetary contracts, meeting with project stakeholders and subcontractors and maintains a hands-on approach and brings to the table an encompassing insight into design and construction.
Paul Schwinne, Partner
Paul is the Commercial Broker and Owner of Quantum Commercial Real Estate, a full service commercial brokerage firm. Quantum provides a full range of brokerage services to buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants for the acquisition, disposition, and leasing of commercial real estate.
Working in commercial real estate since 2001, Paul earned the prestigious Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation in 2004. Paul is a recognized expert in the disciplines of commercial and investment real estate. He brings 15 years of experience to clients and team members to ensure successful conception, implementation, completion and operation of projects.
Prior to his real estate career, Paul graduated from Georgia Tech in 1984 with a Bachelor in Aerospace Engineering. He practiced engineering for ten years in designing and manufacturing jet engine components. Paul was then promoted into management and acquired ownership in the firm. The aerospace firm was acquired in 1998 and Paul was promoted to President of the facility. After several years of managing a public company, Paul chose to pursue a career change in commercial real estate.
David A. Strickland, Partner
David is a Commercial Real Estate Broker with more than 25 years of brokerage experience and has worked for several brokerage firms prior to joining his partner, Paul Schwinne, in 2007.
David understands the big picture. He knows all about capital constraints, market share and growth strategies. He understands real estate and facility challenges and helps clients uncover possibilities to gain a competitive edge.
David works with sellers, buyers, landlords and tenants who are active in the south metro Atlanta market while seeking opportunities for several real estate related companies in which he is a partner. David is active with the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors.
